Straight Talk About Stairlifts
You always have Options
Do you sometimes pause at the stairs and ponder: Can I continue to go up and down? That is when you really start to think of your options:
I could do nothing and continue to struggle up and down the stairs.
2. I could move to a house that doesn’t have stairs.
3. I could have an elevator installed.
4. I could have a Stair Lift installed.
Some people choose option 1. They continue to struggle up and down the stairs. I have had people tell me that they have been reduced to crawling up the stairs and then doing the butt bump down. The price you pay for this option is possible bodily injury and injury to your human dignity.
Some people choose option 2. They move to another house usually downsizing. You have to get rid of a lot of your treasured belongings. You then have the monetary expense of selling your home and finding and buying another house. Then there’s the expense and hassle of moving. Sometimes this is still the best option for some people.
Some people choose option 3. They have an elevator installed. The cost associated with installing an elevator can be quite high. I think this is a good option for those that are permanently wheel chair bound and do not choose to move to another house.
